Kala Bai

Kala Bai is a daily wage worker and earns her living by making 'laddoos'. The 'laddos' made by her are relished by many during special occasions and festivals. But her joy rested in the dream of owning a house. She and her family have lived in a rented house for generations, and owning a home meant the world to her. To make this dream come true, she was supported by her son, Vishal, who works as a salesperson at a men's garment store.

Today, this mother-son duo through systematic savings and a resilient spirit has been able to save enough to pay the down payment for a house of their own.

And with SMHFC's home loan, today they are proud owners of a beautiful home, and celebrated this new beginning with a packet of 'laddos'.
